EPL: Maresca gives Chelsea injury updates ahead of Everton clash

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has given injury updates ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against Everton.

Maresca, speaking to the media on Friday, confirmed Cole Palmer is in line to feature for the Blues.

Palmer was unavailable for the Champions League trip to Atalanta in midweek.

“Yeah, he’s OK. He’s better. He’s, at the moment, available – we have one more session [on Friday] afternoon,” Maresca said.

“Yesterday [Thursday] he finished the session with us with mixed feelings. But overall he’s fine.”

Maresca, however, remains uncertain on Liam’s Delap shoulder recovery time scale.

He said: “We don’t know yet. It can be two, three or four weeks. We don’t know exactly how many days he needs.”

Fofana is available to face Everton after eye injury.

“He’s available, he’s fine. He took part in the session yesterday and is completely fine,” he added.
